Re: Placement of PS 109 into the Capital Budget
Dear Ms. Goodwin::
I am writing on behalf of Chancellor Klein in response to your April 11, 2005 letter concerning your desire to see funding for restoration of PS 109 Manhattan included in the 2005-2009 Capital Budget Plan.
Although I appreciate the significance of this building to the 109 Community, as was explained to the Community Education Council (CEC) District #4, our projections indicate that this district does not have a need for additional elementary or high school seats. We continue to look at demographics. Should you wish to do that, my staff would be happy to go over the demographic projections with you.
Should you have any other quyestions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call the NYC School Construction Authority (SCA) Project Support Manager, Michael Mirisola at 718-472-8082.
Sincerely,
WILLIAM H. GOLDSTEIN
